The Last Three Sessions of 2026

internationales tanzmeeting is entering its final round: With three events in September and October, we’ll wrap up the 2026 digital program.

On September 9, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., Talk & Connect – International Dance Dialogue #3: Shaping New Models will focus on the question of what forms of exchange and encounter we actually need. Participants include Stine Nilsen (Artistic Director of Dansens Hus, Oslo), Ratri Anindyajati (Director of the Indonesian International Dance Festival, Jakarta), and Moritz Ostruschnjak (choreographer, Munich), moderated by Prasanna Oommen. The focus is on how curatorial processes can be reimagined beyond the established networks and aesthetics of the Global North—and which models already prioritize reciprocity over short-term project logic.

Two weeks later, on September 23, from 1:00–1:50 p.m., NRW meets… International Dance #4: Emerging, Then What? will take place. This time, the focus is on the perspectives of emerging artists from North Rhine-Westphalia: How can one gain visibility beyond one’s own state borders? Joanna Leśnierowska, choreographic curator and co-founder of the European Dance Houses Network, will provide insights into European springboards such as Aerowaves. Participation is limited and primarily aimed at emerging artists from North Rhine-Westphalia.

The series will conclude on October 14 with the final installment of the year of Talk & Connect – International Dance Dialogue. Further details on topics and guests will follow shortly.
