The nrw landesbuero tanz invites you to a series of digital events: internationales tanzmeeting. Throughout 2026, we will be hosting online sessions for networking and discussing pressing issues. The series was created to maintain international exchange in 2026 – because the internationale tanzmesse nrw will not take place this year.

Two formats – one common framework

The events are planned in two formats – NRW meets... International Dance and Talk & Connect - International Dance Dialogue.
NRW meets... International Dance initiates digital encounters between dance experts from North Rhine-Westphalia and (international) professionals and is dedicated to the conditions for successful international distribution and visibility.
Talk & Connect - International Dance Dialogue invites the international dance scene to discuss current topics such as curatorial structures, networks, mobility & touring, diversity and accessibility. After an input or panel discussion, everyone is invited to contribute their perspectives.

30 years of networking – thinking ahead digitally

What does the dance scene need in order to work and cooperate internationally?
Against the backdrop of global crises, political tensions and financial cutbacks, international exchange and solidarity-based cooperation are more important than ever.

We are using this time and digital space with you to strengthen the networks that have developed over 30 years of internationale tanzmesse nrw and to stay in conversation. What are the issues driving the international dance scene? What does a long-term sustainable event for the international dance scene look like?

With the international dance meeting, we are building a bridge to an international live event in 2028.
